Common Questions
Everything you need to know before getting started.
How often does equipment need to be test and tagged?
Intervals depend on the environment. Under AS/NZS 3760, office equipment in a low-risk environment is typically tested every 5 years for new items and 12 months thereafter, while construction sites require 3-monthly testing. We'll map your assets to the correct interval as part of the initial audit.
Do you provide a Certificate of Electrical Safety?
Yes. All prescribed electrical work is certified and lodged with Energy Safe Victoria, and a copy is provided with your job documentation.
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes. Most testing, lighting and switchboard work in occupied buildings is scheduled after hours or on weekends to avoid disruption. This is quoted upfront, not added later.
Do you handle Victorian Energy Upgrades rebates for LED retrofits?
We scope eligible upgrades and coordinate the paperwork with an accredited provider so the discount is applied at the point of installation.
How often do exit and emergency lights need testing?
Under AS 2293.2, emergency and exit lighting requires a six-monthly function test and an annual discharge test, with results recorded in a logbook. We maintain the logbook as part of the service.
